Hotel Patria - Strbske Pleso

Spent a brilliant two nights here. The wellness centre is a proper gem for unwinding after a day out and about, and the breakfast spread was canny—so much to choose from! Just a shame the parking spots were a bit tight.

Excellent location on a pretty lake, with nice mountain vistas. Very nice mini spa with a huge jacuzzi and six or so saunas.

The hotel is usually hopelessly overpriced unless you buy a package through a travel agency. There are a myriad little annoyances, from an improperly flushing toilet to non-existent internet connection on floors 6-7 - but you pay the same rate as on other floors and only some receptionists actually know that some rooms are not fitted with internet connections. Overall, if they charged 70-80 euro per night, spa included (the spa is really nice), it would be okay, but they go for well over a hundred and that's plain stupid.

Modern well cleaned rooms at decent prices with outdoor Jacuzzis as well as a nice view. Location really close to the cable car station and ski slopes and evenings and the lake called "pleso". For tea or coffee visit Caffe Crepes nearby...

Wi-Fi was rather slow.

The wellness area exceeded expectations, with spacious facilities and peaceful, relaxing spaces. Breakfast showcased a good spread, especially the live cooking that elevated the morning experience beautifully.

Perfect hotel with excellent staff, I thoroughly enjoyed wonderful location. The authentic restaurant was magnificent with variety of meals in the menu.

The main restaurant closed at 9pm - not a problem the first night, but we were too late for it the second night. The bar food was a very good alternative.

Consider enjoying outdoor jacuzzis and saunas for fine mountain views, especially after a day of hiking.

Hotel Patria is in the heart of The High Tatra in Slovakia, exellent location, friendly staff, relax in wellness, beautiful nature. Very recommended.

Straight talk, worth it or not?

The fine lakeside location offers amazing mountain views! The wellness center is fantastic, with an array of saunas and pools, a great retreat after outdoor activities.

The parking situation can be frustrating, especially during busy seasons.

Couldn't recommend more for a weekend vacation

Comfortable room, excellent amenities, with a spacious fitness centre and a refreshing indoor swimming pool, made our stay enjoyable and relaxing.

The staff could improve their communication, especially during breakfast, to create a more cute atmosphere.

Outdoor jacuzzis with mountain views were lovely.

Our experience was marred by rude staff who rushed us during breakfast, removing plates almost immediately to press us out the door. The coffee situation was chaotic with only one machine working, and to add insult to injury, no fresh juice options were available-only subpar concentrate. It was appalling to be treated with such indifference at a so-called premium hotel where we paid a steep price for accommodations.

The outdoor jacuzzis with mountain views were a perfect way to relax after a day of hiking.

The restaurant had a stale smell that lingered on my clothes after dining, quite off-putting.

Breakfast was heaps good though, with plenty of choices!
